I am an east coast transplant who has really jumped on the recycling band wagon after moving to an Earth friendly town in California! I grew up in a town that did not have much of a recycling program, in fact I can remember at least 3 large landfills I used to pass on a regular basis. I have made it my goal to upcycle my world and reuse as much as I can.

Paper beads made from a 6 pack

I have been playing with paper beads made from thicker paper and cardboard. I used the thin cardboard/heavy card stock from a 6 pack like the one pictured.

I broke it down flat and trimmed it down to the workable parts. I think Eye of the Hawk 6 packs make great beads!

After all the trimming I used a ruler and an x-acto knife to cut the bead strips.

They can be rolled around any kind of dowel but I use a bead roller. I use tacky glue as a base seal as usual and used a spray sealer to finish them off.

I love these beads!

Thanks for reading!
